Welcome to PHP Appalachia 2006
I want everyone to have the ability to “live blog” PHP Appalachia. In fact, I’m encouraging it. So our first order of business is this:
Go here and sign up for a Wordpress account: http://www.phpappalachia.org/wp-register.php
Once you’ve done that, you should have “Contributor” status. You’ll be able to make posts about your thoughts and discussions you’ve had during the week. Posts, however, must first be moderated, so be patient, but, since we’re online here, then we shouldn’t have any problem approving them quickly.
Also, I encourage you to cross-post your posts to your own blog and to post pictures to your Flickr blog (if you have one). Any links you come across this week, post to del.icio.us. I’d like to be able to capture our collective knowledge and insights from this week, and these places are the best way to do this. If you do make posts in any of these locations, be sure to tag your post with “phpappalachia” so that we can track it.
